The 4th European Literary Walk takes place in the framework of the EUNIC actions and synergies to understand, promote and enhance cultural and linguistic diversity and cooperation between European societies, aiming at highlighting the diversity of literary expression in Europe and presenting contemporary European literature and European scholars to the general public through a series of public readings and other parallel activities.

This year’s event is dedicated to children’s and youth literature and focuses on cultural diversity to promote the solidarity and coexistence of people with different cultural backgrounds, origins, languages and religions, and to join the broader circle of events and events EUNIC Athens, with the general title The role of culture in cultural integration: The culture of integration.

The walk will include readings, games, educational programs, signing of books and albums, discussions with the public, at various points of the Stoa.

The visitor will have the opportunity to visit all the venues of the event.

It is worth noting that this year, in cooperation with the European Commission Delegation in Athens and for the fifth consecutive year, the Cultural Institutions and Embassies of 12 EUNIC Athens member countries celebrate the European Language Day 2017 on Saturday, September 23 (at the National Library of Greece, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center) in an all-day event titled “Many Languages – A Feast”.
