Vivian Philippa & Dianna Karvounis leaders stamp

Industrial designer Dianna Karvounis and architect Vivian Philippa founded Two Is Company in 2009, reflecting a selective approach to the definition of beauty. Each stage of their creative process is managed within the meaning of the central concept, giving a distinctive entity in what they create.

In 2018, the moment had come to rebrand their growing company. Their increasingly international portfolio and expansion strategy called for a new name that better expressed their brand values and global outlook. A name that distilled their Greek heritage but spoke to the rich scope and scale of their work.

ANAKTAE derives from the ancient Greek ‘anaktor’ meaning palace.

Their studio embraces artisans and connoisseurs dedicated to quality craftsmanship, sublime aesthetics and timeless style. ANAKTAE is a feminine variation of a Grecian classic, which reflects the brand’s exclusivity, individuality, and strong female leadership.

Unique personalities both of them, they complement and enhance the capabilities of each other, creating products and designs that have defined private homes and other places in Greece, London, Paris, Rome and New York.

The founders of Two Is Company are influenced by our cultural heritage and archaic symbols, combining this style with contemporary elements, giving them the tone of global Hellenism, that makes each piece unique.
