The Greek eCommerce Association, GR.EC.A., organizes for the fifth consecutive year the E-Commerce Week, which is under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Development. This year’s celebration week will run from Friday, December 1st to Thursday, December 7th. During this time, a number of Greek online stores will offer attractive offers to the consumer, encouraging them to “experience” online shopping experience.

ECommerce Week takes place on the lines of the American Cyber Monday, and many more countries like England, Germany, Australia and so on. In this festive season, online B2C turnover is boosted, while the Christmas markets are being launched.

Last year, according to data gathered by GR.EC.A, more than doubled – compared to the previous year – the participation of online stores, which exceeded the total of 250. There was also a very positive acceptance by the online after a comparative increase of turnover of 69.59% in the respective week compared to 2015, as well as an increase of 28.17% compared to the previous calendar week (24-30 November).

For the convenience of consumers, GR.EC.A. will publish an official list of online stores that will be informed of their weekly membership with remarkable offers, which reached up to 70% in 2016.
