On the subject of tourism as a wealth-producing industry of the Greek economy and with the question of “how to live your myth in Greece”, experts, including representatives of European institutions, will meet to discuss new models and guidelines for upgrading services provided by the tourism industry and strengthening the skills of professionals in the industry.

A dimension that is of particular importance, since in recent years, in the economic crisis, it has succeeded in creating new growth prospects and new jobs, generating know-how and opening new ways for the tourist product and visibility of Greece.

The discussion is being held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 (10.00 – 14.30) at Hotel Life Gallery (103 Thisseos Ave., Ekali), Militos Consulting with the courtesy of the G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation, and sponsor of gtp headlines, within the framework of the European project Rooms2Vet.

The entrance is free, by electronic registration.

A series of inquiries will be made by the public to distinguished businessmen, experts and executives of the tourism industry, including Eleni Tsitouras Collection, Charalambos Aggeloudis (TUV Austria Hellas), Mr. Kostas Dimitriadis (blue .gr), Evangelos Kyriazopoulos (Institute of Local Government), Renata Tomlenovic (Croatian Tourism Institute), Dimitris Zafiridis (Commonwealth of Knowledge) and others. The discussion will be co-ordinated by the journalist Irini Nikolopoulou (eirinika.gr).

The innovation of the conversation is the new form of congress dialogue (The Public Interview ©) where the roles and the “first say” are reversed in this innovative interactive process by the participants (questioners). In short, the “public interview” provides a series of questions that come from the public on the spot and are addressed exclusively to the guests.

The debate is being developed in the framework of the European project Rooms2Vet (European Commission), which aims to increase the competitiveness of the European tourism industry by developing a friendly, free, online training platform for upgrading skills and professionalizing the tourist services provided by owners private accommodation, small houses and family farms. The project was designed and implemented by specialized agencies in the tourism and VET sector, from Greece, Croatia, Cyprus, Slovenia and Spain and with the financial support of the European Commission.

The Public Interview methodology has been developed and implemented exclusively by MILITOS CONSULTING SA.
