The new project “GRÆDUCATION”, which was undertaken by the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the Research Institute FIAP Institute for Innovative Professionals Design and Prevention), the Wissenschaftspark Gelsenkirchen (Geelzenkirchen Science Park) and the HBZ (Munster Chamber of Industry and Commerce Training Center), is addressed in the Greek-German cooperation for the research, development and design of educational services in the green professions sector.

In the framework of this cooperation, the opening of the program, with the participation of state institutions and business representatives, took place at the offices of the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Athens.

The aim of the project is to develop new educational programs based on the existing Greek professional profiles in the Green Professions sector, as well as tools for professional orientation and professional careers in this sector.

The “Green Technology” areas, which are offered for further cooperation, are as follows:

  • Solar power
  • Wind power
  • Energy efficient and ecological building construction
  • Waste management,

as the “Green Entrepreneurship” sector faces shortages of skilled and trained staff. This results in the difficulty of further developing the sector despite all the prospects in the country. There appears to be, therefore, a need to improve the vocational training of young people in this sector.
