A dance workshop for people with and without vision issues, at Onassis Cultural Center
People with and without disabilities have the opportunity to co-exist through an extensive series of educational programs and contemporary dance workshops, organized by the Onassis Cultural Centre.
This workshop represents a chance for sharing and exchanging, an occasion for contact and new knowledge between visually impaired or not individuals, for amateurs or professional dancers. The goal is to create a strong bond between unique characters, through an environment of understanding and mutual respect.
Through creative improvisation and the study of the physicality of the human body and the operation of the senses, participants will discover new ways of moving and dancing while collaborating with others. They will experiment with the movement, the touch, the voice and speech, the music and the boundaries of the body.
The laboratory will gradually evolve through weekly meetings, discussions and feedback, shaping ideas and feelings through dance, within a framework of mutual understanding.
