Once again, APIVITA, Grand Sponsor of the Ballet of the National Opera, honored and supported this very important collaboration with a dynamic presence at the premiere of the third production of the Ballet for the 2018-19 season, “From Russia with Love” on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

This is a unique triptych of dance, which brings three great ballets by Igor Stravinsky at the stage of Stavros Niarchos: The Ritual of the Spring, Song of the Nightingale and Weddings, choreographed by Daphnis Kokkinos, Marco Goecke and Konstantinos Rigos.

The Three Ballet Ballet, the Ritual of the Spring (1913), the Song of the Nightingale (1914/1917/1920) and the Wedding (1923) were written for the Russian Ballet and contributed decisively to the establishment of Stravinsky.

In the production of the National Opera Ballet the choreographies are signed by three important choreographers: Daphnis Kokkinos of the Pina Baus Dance Theater, the distinguished German Marco Goecke, who from 2019/20 takes over the director of the Ballet of Hanover and the Director of the Ballet of the National Opera, Konstantinos Rigos.

From 6 April and for six performances at the Stavros Niarchos Hall of the National Opera at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
