Morphe London is a brand of 3D printed jewelry designed by the architect Dimitra Tampaki. It combines digital forms with the intelligence of 3D printing technology in order to embrace the body and at the same time make a statement.
I started to design jewelry in 2014.
I wanted to make a butterfly-shaped jewelry for me so I did it with 3D printing.
In 2015, I started to create the 3D jewelry brand called Morphe London.
Certainly nature has a very important role in the design of my jewelry, through biomorphic design I try to discover the forces behind nature’s forms and somehow to recreate them in a wearable jewelry.
I could describe the brand and the jewelry as futuristic, because they are created based on innovation and new technologies.
3D printing is something new in Greece and I am very happy to discover it and try to develop it.
The brand is aimed at people who are interested in design and innovation.
There have been many moments that have definitely set the course of my career, but I think the recent opening of my own physical shop in Athens was a very important moment for me and my journey.
Having lived abroad for some years I am very happy that I now live and work in Greece.
There is a very beautiful energy, a combination of emotions and a simmering dynamic that makes it a very unique landscape of creation.
As far as Greece is concerned, I am in the A Jewel Made in Greece team and along with other jewelry designers, we present our work to the public every year.
My name is Dimitra Tampaki and I am the owner and designer of the Morphe London brand.
