Evi Prodromou, Yannis Olive Grove leaders stamp

The vision of the Yannis Olive Grove company is to promote the rich nutritional tradition of Halkidiki by producing natural products, high in polyphenols and beneficial ingredients that contribute to good health.

Yannis Olive Grove company was founded in 2012. Me and my husband, Yannis Prodromou, are farmers all our life. In 2012, we decided to give value to our product and put it in the market, in order to make the olive of Halkidiki known to the world.

Our logo shows just that, it’s showing a simple tree, an olive tree on the ground. At the same time, however, the mark itself depicts the soul of Yannis.

The company’s products are divided into two categories, first the green extra virgin olive oils from three Halkidiki olive tree varieties that we have in our fields and second the olive snacks.

Olive products are a great innovation.

We thought subversively, differently. So we thought, why not make a product, without salt, without brine, but dry and sweet without adding sugar, in order to make the ultimate healthy snacking.

The first experiments started in our kitchen. For too long, one mistake followed the other, until we could get the product in the market.

We were lucky as we met one of the largest importers of Greek food in North America.

We worked with him, and today, we have the great honor of making private label products for this company and that has resulted to our opening in the North American market.

Thera are three milestones for our business. The first milestone was our contact with the American Farm School.

The second one followed immediately, with our contact with Gaia Epixeirein, where we have implemented as pilot growers the intelligent cultivation in Greece.

We are very proud that the quality of our products has allowed us to participate in the first global clinical trial on amnesic patients diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment which leads to Alzheimer’s disease.

In cooperation with the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as well as with the Hellenic Alzheimer Company, we are the only company worldwide chosen to participate in this research.

This will result in Greek extra virgin olive oil getting a big lead in the global market.

Greek extra virgin olive oil has tremendous potentials for the global market.

At this point, the quality is very important. The quality of the product is a strong asset.

We can’t never believe that we know everything, we have to train and the more we train, we will make better products and we become even more competitive.

The crisis period has taught us to think differently, to dare, in order to have the results that we should have years before.

Our dream for Yannis and me is to pass our business to our children, so they will continue to produce products that are beneficial for the humans.
