According to a research by the University of Patras on the consumer preferences of Greeks during the pandemic, 1 in 2 Greeks seems to consider products made in Greece to be of better quality.

Greek products were evaluated as more quality and safe compared to imported but at the same time are considered more expensive. Specifically, only 15.9% believe that products made in Greece are available at better prices. However, 51.1% consider them of better quality and 33.1% safer.

The percentage of consumers who decided to try new brands during the second lockdown also increased. It is a fact that the pandemic period has affected consumer habits and many changes seem to have come to stay. Another example highlighted by the survey was the large percentage of consumers who turned to buying products sold through promotions.
