Kalogerakis Inc. is a family business that has been operating within the dairy sector in Crete, since 1949. Constantly looking at the global food trends, respecting the tradition and committed to quality, it creates pure, authentic and rich nutrient value products. It has a strong presence in organized retail and HO.RE.CA Market in most European countries, Australia and USA. Their vision is to spread Cretan dairy products beyond the limits of the Greek market.


Nowadays globalization is a fact. Every producer has to take some steps, so he can cope with the conditions.

The company was created in 1949 by my grandfather Emmanouil Kalogerakis, who, along with various other professions, eventually became involved with his passion for cheese making.

We produce traditional Cretan cheese. The flagship of our products is Cretan graviera which is produced with sheep and goat milk from local free-range breeds. We also produce graviera light, which is with 30% less fat and 10% less salt. Then follow the sweet myzithra, the dry anthotyros, the sour myzithra.

We can find them in the larger supermarket chains in Greece, as well as in local markets run by specialized representatives.

The action of our company is directly linked to the primary sector of Crete, the farmers, as we collect milk from 600 producers, helping the local community. The second pillar is that we help the absorption of the human resources. The third pillar is that we help, support, cooperate and prefer Cretan producers and Cretan suppliers, so as to have perfect products for our consumers. Finally, the fourth pillar in which we believe is that promoting Cretan products, in Greece and worldwide, will be positive for our region.

Certainly, nowadays globalization is a fact, so all producers have to take some steps to cope with the conditions; branding, marketing, social media, packaging, these are some of the elements in which the producers have to be improved in. Although, they should always aim for consistent quality and this will move them forward.

We hope for local hotels to reach the point of relying on and be supplied by local producers only.
