The Boutari Winery holds 6 wineries in Greece, which gives it the opportunity to experiment in the wine sector by acclimatizing varieties to the most suitable areas, thus developing a complete range of products.
The person you talk to was born into wine, I am the fourth generation of a family, which began in 1879.
Our product is wine. In the morning we work professionally, we organize the vineyard and the cultivation of the vine. In the afternoon, we are dealing with the sales. In other words, wine runs through our veins.
Objectively speaking, the higher the quality of the people and grapes, the better the wines produced will be.
The wine accompanies the best moments of the people, because it accompanies food.
So, if we offer good quality wines, the people who will drink it will have a very pleasant aftertaste.
If we manage to create such a good image of Greece, that combines nature with people, every foreigner who visits Greece will have a positive image when they leave the country.
Concerning our new wines, we have a process about that and the products that we made are called experimental wines, chosen by our oenologists amongst the 7 wineries we own, along with France, which are not the classic products that we produce, but products in the procedure of tasting.
There are some products that have timeless quality.
So, we don’t have to be anxious about how many new wines we are going to made, but to focus in the wines we can keep on the market and in our memory, that will remind us that there are some products that are exceptional and will follow me in my life, over time.
I am Konstantinos Boutaris, President of Boutari, based in Naousa, Imathia in Macedonia.
