LoveGreece.com, the initiative of the G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation and its President,Gina Mamidakis, organized a special night themed Love Greek Fashion by the pool at Life Gallery athens on June 10th, 2019.

With this event, which is part of its thematic presentations and actions, LoveGreece.com supports new talented designers who shape modern Greek fashion and boosts their extroversion. To achieve this, the G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation joined forces with OZON’s publisher, Giorgos Kelefis and the journalist Maria Papoukidi, who contributed with their specialized knowledge to the selection of talented people involved in the event.

In the stylish outdoor area of Life Gallery athens in Ekali, Media and Arts representatives, influencers and important entrepreneurs were gathered to get to know the work and philosophy of 13 new generation designers as they were selected by the special judging committee set up by LoveGreece.com, specifically for this multidimensional action.

Members of the judging committee were the fashion designer Ioanna Kourbella, the artistic director and founder of the Athenian Biennale and member of LoveGreece.com Poka-Yio, the fashion designer Stelios Koudounaris, the journalist Maria Pampoukidi, Kyriaki Kostolidou from LoveGreece.com, and the publisher Giorgos Kelefis representing OZON magazine and the Fashion Room Service.

The event started with a presentation of LoveGreece.com and its vision, by Kyriaki Kostolidou, followed by Giorgos Kelefis, describing Love Greek Fashion’s initiative, its stages, and its participants. As he said, “Through the Fashion Room Service concept, over 400 Greek brands have been showcased, the majority of which were created within the decade of the Greek crisis.

“This explosive flourishing of made-in-Greece fashion is the strong response of the creative talent in our country against any adverse economic conditions.” Maria Pampoukidis continued with the presentation of the designers, their passion and their inspiration. Then, in a very pleasant and friendly atmosphere, the designers took the floor one by one and presented their work and vision. The event was honored by the presence of the designer Yiannis Tseklenis, who actively supports Greek designers, while in his brief greeting, he highlighted the importance of their work and the need to support Greek production.

The President of the G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation, Gina Mamidakis stated: “Each and every action of G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation’s initiative, aims at fulfilling the mission of LoveGreece.com to promote Greek creativity and entrepreneurship on a local and international level. It is a great pleasure for us to host some of the most talented creators of Greek fashion tonight. ”

This celebration of Greek Fashion continued with the designers 2WO + 1NE = 2, Aisha Diri, Aumorfia, Cutcuutur, Dante, Debbie Tzima, Etty Leon, Fit & Craft, Ippolito, Lommer, Nadia Rapti and Urban Owl presenting their new SS’19 collections, setting up special booths that reflect their aesthetics and design philosophy, giving guests the opportunity to meet them in-person. The event peaked with a highly impressive Fashion Walk at the hotel’s garden and swimming pool area, creating a path of Fashion Stops, where models and installations were directed by the designers. The fashion crowd enjoyed the beautiful night with drinks, music and fine dishes at Life Gallery athens, which organized an Open Bar Pool Party, marking the start of the summer season.
