The Numismatic Museum presents the exhibition “Fruits and Symbols”, which presents three hundred and thirty-seven (337) ancient Greek, Roman and newer coins, stones, lead and clay symbols embellished with fruits – symbols of Greek land.

The nineteen artists, aware of the idea of “Greekness”, participate in the Exhibition with creations inspired by one or more characteristic fruits such as olive, pomegranate, grape, grape, apple, sylph, depicted in ancient artworks of the Numismatic Museum.

The Director of the Museum George Kakavas and the Founder of the A Jewel Made In Greece platform, Mary Samolis, took charge of the exhibition in collaboration with the Art History Iris Kritikos and the Nomismologist Antonia Nikolakopoulou.
