A growing demand abroad for olive oil, yogurt, wine and other products from the food industry, especially those associated with the Cretan diet and biological products, has been tracked down.

The increased demand for Greek food products in the world markets, have been reflected in figures published by the Panhellenic Exporters Association concerning January – April 2016. According to the PEA, food exports this year’s quarter amounted to 342 million euros, a rise of 10% compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

“The Greek products are constantly gaining ground” Greek exporters support, while organising concerted efforts to maintain their presence in traditional markets already established, but to conquer new markets.
